Bryan Robson believes Petr Cech can be like Edwin van der Sar for Man United
With David de Gea yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford and rumours of his departure to Real Madrid continuing to grow, Bryan Robson believes the 33-year-old is a top-prioty signing for the Red Devils this summer.
And the ex midfield man thinks Cech's experience between the sticks will mirror that of former keeper Edwin van der Sar.
He said: "It's important to bring in players as soon as possible
"If De Gea has to be replaced, Cech would be ideal – he could do for the club what Edwin van der Sar did."
However, United will face stiff competition for the goalkeeper's signature with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain reported to be interested.
Cech has a wealth of experience, making 333 league appearances for Chelsea and winning four Premier League titles since joining in 2004.
