Tottenham fans will be devastated yet again if one of their key players is sold this summer, that too to a Premier League rival team.
Spurs sold the likes of Bale and Modric and they are still missed at White Hart Lane being never replaced. Now, it seems that the North Londoners may lose their star goal keeper Hugo Lloris to Manchester United.
It looks highly likely that United’s very own star goalie David de Gea is set to depart this summer and reports suggest that Lloris is their priority signing if the Spaniard does leave Old Trafford.
As per the provided Metro link, French source L’Equipe claim that United are closing in as negotiations are going on over a £25million move for the French star.
The mentioned price tag is actually contradicting as Star reported that as per L’Equipe there is a verbal agreement in place between Lloris and Tottenham chairman Levy that the Les Bleus star will be sold if a club paid €25million i.e. £17.8million to hire his services.
We shall see how the saga unfolds. No matter what the price tag is, United will have to sign a World Class goalie to replace someone who was their best player last season.
