Bayern Munich are reportedly desperate to sign Manchester Unitedmidfielder Angel di Maria, and are considering offering the Old Trafford club Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and cash for the Argentine.
Di Maria struggled to make an impression in his first season in the Premier League, and United are considering allowing him to leave after spending £60million on him last year.
According to the Daily Mail, Bayern Munich are the most likely suitors and Pep Guardiola is willing to do business with the Red Devils, involving several players that they have targeted in the past, such as Robben and Muller.
United have also been linked with Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer, but it is thought that Muller is now Van Gaal’s first choice target from the Bayern squad.
Meanwhile, Robben would be an ideal replacement for Di Maria to play on the wing in what could be a talent-packed midfield next season.
