GHANA 2008:Organizing Committee to hold meeting

The African Cup of Nations Organizing Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold a general meeting on Wednesday, January 16 in Accra.



The meeting, the first this year is to access the current state of preparations among other things for the 26th MTN Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana 2008 which has barely five days to kick off.



The meeting to be chaired CAF President, Issa Hayatou to pave way for the January 20 to February 10 championships is the first in series of meeting to be held by the committee during the three period of the tournament.



The committee will meet at various stages during the tournament before rounding up on February 8, forty-eight hours to the closing ceremony.



The ACN Organising Committee last met in Accra on the eve of the main draw for the tournament.



The meeting of the CAN organizing committee will be followed in the afternoon with the metting of the Executive Committee of the continental governing football body.



On Friday , the legislative body of CAF will be meeting , it will XXXth CAF General Assembly scheduled at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
