Berti Vogts remained silent on Bayern Munich link

Super Eagles head coach, Berti Vogts has remained tight-lipped over media reports that he is poised to link up with Jürgen Klinsmann at Bayern Munich next season.

Klinsmann will succeed Ottmar Hitzfeld as coach of the Bundesliga giants in the summer and speculation has suggested Vogts could work alongside him at the Allianz-Arena as a more experienced tactician.

Vogts, who took Germany to glory at Euro 96 finals with Klinsmann as his captain, is currently in charge of Nigeria and is preparing for the African Nations Cup, which kicks off in Ghana on January 20.

"Bayern is the best run club in the world. It is clear that it would be fun to work for Bayern," he said.

"But for now, I am focusing only on the African Nations Cup. Therefore I ask for you to understand that at the moment I don't want to say anything more on this subject."
