The opening date of the 2007/2008 National County Meet, previously scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2008, has been brought forward to Friday, January 4, 2008.
This followed a technical adjustment by the Ministry of Youth & Sports to allow for commencement of the annual President's Cup Competition, which falls on the original date.

Montserrado and Rivercess Counties will open the competition at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia at 2:00 P.M., with each promising to undo the other in both games.
