Arsenal star set for imminent exit with medical already booked

Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski looks to be heading for the exit door after Galatasaray confirmed that the German is set to undergo a medical with them on Saturday afternoon, the Turkish club’s official website reported.
Podolski spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan where he endured a tough time after only netting once during his stay in Italy.
Despite undergoing a medical, Galatasaray have confirmed that negotiations are still ongoing, but one would suspect that those talks will become a formality given that Podolski has been allowed to travel to Istanbul.
Podolski split the opinion of the fans during his Arsenal career with some refusing to comprise their expectations of a professional footballer regardless of his crucial talent.
The 30-year-old has a lethal left foot – arguably the best in Europe – and could often drag us out of a predicament with one clean swing.
However, if that opportunity didn’t present itself, Podolski was useless. Refusing to help the team defensively while also struggling to integrate into our possession game, it became clear that the former Bayern man wouldn’t develop into the player we needed him to become.
Clearly a loveable character in the dressing, we wish ‘Poldi’ the best of luck in the future.
