Nwankwo Kanu to motivate the boys to victory

Atlanta 96 Olympic team captain Nwankwo Kanu will lead a posse of gold medallists from that Dream Team I squad, including Daniel Amokachi, to cheer Dream Team IV as they meet South Africa next week in Abuja.
Last weekend, Fifa Ambassador, former African Player of the Year Mercy Akide-Udoh was at the National Stadium Abuja, on the invitation of the NFA, to inspire the Super Falcons to a 2-0 victory over rivals Ghana, and NFA spokesman Demola Olajire told press that the Glass House was happy with the result.
“We were encouraged by what we saw when we invited Mercy," Olajire stated.
“The girls were visibly excited by her presence and it was obvious that it gave them added motivation.
“The crowd also responded well to her presence so we are making plans to invite the likes of Kanu to come and motivate the boys to victory."
Musa Amadu, the NFA Deputy Secretary General (Services) stated that it would be a bug party of Olympic heroes.

“Players like Daniel Amokachi, Garba Lawal, Dosu Joseph and others that are around have been penciled down to grace the match like we did when we invited Mercy Akide-Udoh for the Falcons match against Ghana match last Saturday.

“We want to make the best out of this match and ensure that our Olympic male team also picks the Beijing Olympic ticket like their female counterpart,” Amadu told KickOffNigeria.com.
