Saido Berahino will be offered fresh terms to make him one of West Bromwich Albion’s top earners when contract negotiations reopen this summer.
Securing Berahino to a new deal is one of the club’s main priorities after confirming at least 13th place with a 3-0 win over champions Chelsea, spearheaded by the 21-year-old’s brace.
Joleon Lescott and Ben Foster each earn around £50,000 per week, and Berahino, who has scored 20 goals this season, can expect to be placed in that bracket. He signed his current £14,000-per-week deal in November 2013, up from £850 per week.

The 21-year-old scored from the spot in West Brom's 3-0 victory over Chelsea on Monday night
Most recent talks between the parties were put on hold in December after Berahino was arrested for drink-driving.
Plans to reopen negotiations were shelved in February after he expressed a desire to ‘move on to bigger things’ in pursuit of Champions League football, in an interview unauthorised by the club.
Club officials were irritated at the time and a summer sale probable, but Berahino’s attitude has improved dramatically under the guidance of Tony Pulis, who said recently: ‘I think he is enjoying his football, and he has a better rapport now with everybody around the football club. He is much more open, more together and more integrated within the group.’
Berahino, who has two years left on his current contract, will assess his options during the closed season, with interest likely. He may still push for a move. But West Brom would not countenance any bids below £20million. The club did not receive a call on Berahino during the winter window.

Finding time to sit down to talk with Berahino may prove tricky with his expected involvement for England in the Under-21 European Championships in Czech Republic over the last two weeks of June.
Pulis said: ‘I think the kid should stay. I have said that to him. I think he could do with another ten years at West Bromwich Albion!’
West Brom is up for sale but chairman Jeremy Peace said any takeover would not affect incoming transfers or contract talks.
‘In short, if there is a change of ownership, the transition should be smooth and devoid of upheaval. Business will continue as normal,’ Peace said.
