Nigeria:Van Gaal Pencil Down to Replace Vogts

AS Nigerians continue to rue the dismal performance of the Super Eagles in the on-going Africa Cup of Nations, football authorities have begun to search for a new coach as the fate of German Coach, Berti Vogts, has conclusively been decided.

He has to go. This is authoritative. Very reliable sources confirmed to Sports Vanguard that even Globacom, the communication giants who foot his $50,000 per month salary, has given the green light for him to be excused.

Already, Dutchman, Louis Van Gaal, has been penciled to take over from Vogts and lead the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers as well as lead them to the 2010 World Cup to be hosted by South Africa.

To assist Van Gaal in the new dispensation would be former Skipper of the Eagles and Coach of the Hawks of Togo, Stephen Keshi.

Samson Siasia was also mentioned to join the new technical crew to bring vim and vitality to the Super Eagles."We have to do something fast about the national team, because the World Cup qualifiers is around the corner

Should life not cease to be in a leaf before the whole plant is condemned to be uprooted. The tournament ends in 10 days. Does the NFA not think it sensible to wait 12 days? Must they kill everything in the middle of a major tournament. What would berti vogts be telling the boys when his own position is being advertised as if it is vacant? Wat would be the point of building a so-vital player coach bond needed to improve performance if plans of replacing a coach are in place.
the NFA from this report, seem to be fooling themselves with this unreal sense of urgency they try to potray.
They are 100% responsible for berti vogts performance. They ok's him for the job. berti vogts did not hijack the position.
Like everyone should have faith in the NFA and whoever next they choose to appoint as coach?
Again, why should a player bother developing a professional relationship with a coach when he may be there for shorter than any player.

I wonder what steps the NFA has taken to secure exposure of the super eaglets to TOP foreign leageus like the premiership and not finland 2nd division.
What steps has the NFA taken towards providing an illustrious career for their young stars?
What steps has NFA taken to avoid the Vulture-like football agents that devour the eggs of the super eagles well before they hatch?

The NFA hasnt got the best image of a national team authority.

The problem facing the super eagles lies within!!!!

Nigeria has a crucial knock-out stage match against Ghana on sunday 3 october against the backdrop of the home fans in the host nation.
The NFA do not seem to realise the scope or even up to where their responsibility covers.

Hmmm. Sleeping Giant!
