Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates is set to make a permanent move to Sunderland in a deal worth £4m.
The Uruguayan international moved to Anfield back in the Summer of 2011, but was never able to break into the first-team on a regular basis.
He was loaned to Premiership club Sunderland for the past season and now looks set to make the move a long-term on.
The twenty-four year old struggled to get a spot in Gus Poyet’s side, but was favoured by Dick Advocaat when the Dutchman took over.
Coates repaid that faith with some good performances in the defence for the Black Cats as they managed to avoid relegation.
