Darren Fletcher has ended his 20-year association with Manchester United after signing for West Bromwich Albion.
Fletcher arrived for a medical at Albion's training ground 90 minutes before the transfer deadline and finally completed his move to to join Tony Pulis's relegation battle.
The Scotland international's protracted move to West Ham collapsed over the weekend but Albion revived their own bid to sign the midfielder late on deadline day.
However, it proved a frustrating day for Pulis after his bid to sign West Ham striker Carlton Cole collapsed due to Tottenham Hotspur blocking Emmanuel Adebayor's move to Upton Park.
Albion's £10million record signing Brown Ideye's move to Al-Gharafa also fell through but could be resurrected before Qatar's February 19 deadline.
