Olympiads Moses Kawuma, Hassan Mulambe and Harold Wanyama finished with 10 points apiece enroute to sharing the honours in the Willy Zabasajja Memorial Championship at Lugogo.
The three star-players tied after 12 rounds and it was proof of their class that oozed throughout the entire two-day event. The event organized in memory of the late Willy Zabasajja (RIP) witnessed the pre-tournament favourite Bob Bibasa - a former national champion follow the leading pack with 9.5 points to settle for the fourth spot.Reigning national champion, Shadrack Kantinti, was a further 0.5 points adrift of the winners when he notched 9 points to finish fifth in the event that attracted 30 players.
Kantinti was impressed with the overwhelming participation by the players who turned up to honour the late Willy Zabasajja.
